5 tips for attention grabbing Window Graphics

It’s a competitive world on the high street. With competition rife from online stores, high-street retailers need to work harder than ever to draw customers in. So how do you go about stopping the passing traffic in their tracks and drawing their attention away for their smartphone and on your shop window? We recommend window graphics

  • Focus on your key selling point

Great window graphics need to be more than just loud. Bold colours and block capitals are great, so long as they make sense to what you are trying to achieve. More important is to focus on your key selling points and let a really great on-brand design and message do the talking for you.

  • Give a reason to enter

Now this one might seem fairly obvious, but you’d be surprised just how often shop windows can miss the mark. While you may think you have a reason to enter, is that the same reason that the customer has? Is the messaging behind your window graphic really appealing to your target audience, or are you talking to who you think your target audience is, and what you think they should care about.

  • Get to the point

Once you’ve nailed the reason to enter, you’ll want to make sure that you get the delivery right. You’ve only got so much time to get your key message across so you’ll want to make sure that you do it in as few words as possible. You may have the perfect incentive for your target audience to enter, but if it’s not communicated clearly through your window graphics, or if it’s cluttered with too many words or images, you’ll lose your audience before you’ve even started your sales pitch.

Rather than confusing the message with any unnecessary information, we focused on how the key message should be presented and how to make the visuals of the window graphic as slick and professional as possible. The product is front and centre, the incentive is clear and the vibrant colours give the piece that extra edge to making the impact that our client was after.

  • Be Authentic

It can be easy to sacrifice personality in favour of the best sale in town, but ultimately – when it comes to hard-sell sales messages – the general public have seen it all before. Of course having a clear incentive to enter should be top of the list when it comes to reeling your customer in, but this shouldn’t be sacrificed at the expense of what you are all about. A more subtle message, something that is intriguing in some way, shape or form can be just as effective in persuading those customers you are worth their time.

  • Be smart, professional and nice to look at

In order for passers to buy from you first they need to buy in to you. Your shop window is in many cases your customer’s first impression of what you have to offer. This all important part of the sales pitch should be considered as important, if not more important, than anything that comes after. If your shop window looks cluttered or unprofessional then that vital first impression will be ruined.
