Printing in Lockdown – What Can I Print?

Where to print in lockdown

These are unprecedented times and every business, every family and every person is impacted by the current lockdown right across Belfast, Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. Business and life have both changed dramatically and how we conduct ourselves in all aspects of our work will change forever.

At Kaizen Print we remain open, albeit with a very limited staff on our production floor. We may be a little slower than usual, but our digital printing capacity is at 100% of our product range.

While we appreciate these are very strange times indeed, as business owners, marketers and sales teams, there’s a considerable amount of work we could be progressing with to maintain a level of work now and to give us the best opportunity on the other side of this lockdown.

Col. John ‘Hannibal’ Smith:

Give me a minute, I’m good. Give me an hour, I’m great. Give me six months, I’m unbeatable.

You may be wondering, “What can I get printed now, sure we’re all in a lockdown?” Well I’m glad you asked as although the type of printing has changed somewhat drastically in the past few weeks, there is still a lot we can do right now. Below we’ve outlined some of the print we’re undertaking for companies and organisations like yours during this time.

Large Format Plan Printing

While many of our planning consultant customers are working remotely the planning offices in Belfast and right across the UK are working through the planning applications they receive. Being a trusted printing partner for many of the most recognised and reputable planning consultants, we are able to print and courier printed plans and support materials for planning applications.

Business Stationery

Some of our clients are using the luxury of time that we have right now to review the design and print of their business  stationery. This includes letterheads, compliment slips and business cards. Others are choosing to also review their lesser used stationery items such as envelopes and presentation folders.  Spending the time now to create refreshed stationery items without pressures of an upcoming event or deadline allows us to make better decisions and we as your designers, better designs.

Social Distancing Materials

Obviously the big topic in any business right now is social distancing in the workplace. We’ve a suite of materials designed that can help you protect your team and your customers by maintaining awareness of social distancing. These include floor stickers, posters, shelf wobblers and roller banners. All items are incredibly visible and keep social distancing front of mind as they shop and work on your business premises.

Branded Sampling Counter

We work with a huge number of retailers right across Belfast. From pharmacies & butchers to bakers, unfortunately no candlestick makers at this time, we are proud to support those essential businesses that our keeping our cities fed and well. With social distancing measures in place, many of our retail customers are setting up collection points inside and outside their stores. By setting up our Branded Sampling Counters and repurposing these as collections points, we can allow adequate measures of distance between each of their customers. One of the country’s largest independent butcher chains is setting up 2 collection areas in each store aside from their main counter serve model. This allows them to safely serve up to 3 customers per store at a time. Until this point they were using a one-in one-out model to maintain social distancing.

Kaizen Brand Evolution

Aside from digitally printed materials we’re providing for businesses and organisations across, our branding studio Kaizen Brand Evolution has a studio full of digital design and websites in motion for clients worldwide. Having the ability to move our studio to remote status has ensure we’re able to maintain the highest level of graphic design for our clients all across the island of Ireland.

If you need a quote for any printed materials or indeed design for your business, we’d be delighted to help in anyway we can. If you’re unsure where to print in lockdown, you can get in touch by calling us on 028 9002 2474 or by emailing us via the contact form.

Above all else, remember to keep safe and be nice to those around you. We’re all in this together and together we’ll beat all that comes towards us.
