What is a roller banner?

A roller banner is a free standing large format display. The banner is attached to an aluminium base with a spring mechanism. When not in use, the banner can be rolled back into the system for safe storage. When required, the banner can be rolled out of the mechanism. Then securely placed upright with the use of a pole along the back of the graphic.

What are common alternative names for a roll up banners?

Roller banners are commonly known as penguin stands due to the 2 little feet that protrude from the base of the mechanism.

How do you design a banner stand?

Roller banners require professional design using a software such as Adobe Indesign or Illustrator. We recommend you engage a professional graphic designer who can understand and interpret your brief, then bring this to life with creative. Your graphic designer should understand bleed, CMYK vs RGB in print, safe areas, high resolution imagery and of course how to output the file in a manner suitable for print. Without an understanding of the aforementioned points and a creative understanding, your roller banner may turn out at a less than acceptable quality.

Roller Banner Stand Design Examples

What size is a rollup banner?

Roller Banners come in varying shapes and sizes. The most common roller banner size is: 850mm x 2000mm. This commands a fantastic visible area when the banner is erect, however as the footprint of the stand is relatively small, it can be placed almost anywhere indoors.

Roller banners are commonly used as static displays in offices, receptions and car showrooms. Due to their portability and light 3kg weight, they are the perfect exhibition stand for tradeshows and events. Good banner stands are supplied with a padded travel case that ensures the banner is protected in transit. As a general rule we supply both a padded carry case and an external cardboard sleeve for our premium roll up banner stands. This keeps the units and mechanisms safe and ensures the longevity of use.

Can you replace the roller banner graphic?

The banner stands supplied at kaizenprint.co.uk were chosen on a number of factors, primarily the quality and robustness of the mechanisms. One of the other key factors was their ability to have the graphics replaced 1-2 times. Not all roller banners can be “reskinned” and so this ability of our roller banners ensures that if you change your graphic regularly, we can add value to future projects, not just your initial banner purchase. We are happy to fit your new banner graphic free of charge. Alternatively we have created a very handy “How to guide” which is available on youtube.
