There’s no denying that the rise in the use of digital marketing has made printed marketing materials feel a little less necessary. However, here at Kaizen Print we know that the perfect marriage of print and design equals sales.
We’ve helped many businesses to grow through creating printed materials designed with their customers in mind. SME’s can really benefit from printed materials, such as: business cards, flyers and brochures. And the good news is, due to the rise in digital marketing, print has become cheaper.
Printed materials aren’t redundant, and can be a useful marketing strategy for businesses to employ.
So how do you decide which printed marketing you should use to promote your business? We’re here to help. Please read below our top tips on deciding which is best for you!
Do you know your target audience?
Without knowing exactly who you want to target, you may struggle to make a choice on which promotional materials will work best for them.
At the end of the day, your materials are made for them – so
you should know your audience. Consider the print size, the design colours and
the locations they visit.
Which call to action will draw them in? E.g. if you have a clothing shop for millennials a “buy one, get the other half price” may work, or if you have a coffee shop in a high-income area “visit us to receive an exclusive offer” would be an effective approach.
Don’t underestimate the power of the business card
At Kaizen Print, we believe that the business card is a staple that any business owner shouldn’t be without. When you are out and about, going to meetings, attending networking events or socialising they can be handy to keep in your wallet or purse.
We believe that an investment in a quality business card is an effective method to create new leads and give an instant snapshot of who you are and what you do – so it shouldn’t be underestimated.
Nowadays, you don’t have to have a standard business card. You can have gold embossed business cards, cards with curved corners, business cards in different shapes and even high-tech ones that when scanned, direct people to your website!
So think outside the box with this one and consider how you want to be perceived.
Do you meet with people regularly to try and win contracts or commissions?
If you do, then the chances are you leave your clients with pieces of paper with prices, who you are and what you do. Perhaps even a small portfolio of work.
If you leave your potential clients with paper, it can easily be misplaced. This is where presentation folders can come in handy. Not only are they professional and help with the first impression, they are practical.
Whether it’s a conference or meeting you are attending, or a 1-2-1 with a potential client, this can help keep your papers undamaged. Not only this, they are likely to keep the folder and store their own papers in it which gives it longevity, and the potential to be seen by others.
At Kaizen Print, our presentation folders come in A4, A5 and with a range of professional finishes – even coffee resistant!
Do you want to target your local area in a cost-effective and efficient way?
Flyers are a speciality for us at Kaizen Print. From A7, to A3 we have it all, and we know just how effective they can be for businesses. A high-quality flyer is an easy way to target a large audience by the old fashioned posting method. You could even leave them in local businesses if you ask kindly – most businesses will say yes!
Flyers are a tangible way to target the right audience at the right time, and if done effectively can have great results. Keep it simple, and remember the power of white space to draw attention to the important points e.g. business name/website/price/services in a few short points.
Use colours that your target audience will find attractive, and keep them in mind when figuring out the creative design – flyers don’t need to be ‘boring’.
Be simple, yet effective.
