The Do’s & Dont’s for Wedding Stationery Design

Kaizen Print - Wedding Stationery Design

When it comes to weddings, the devil is in the detail. It is the finer details in a wedding that make all the difference and your wedding stationery is a prime example of this.

With this in mind, we’ve put together some do’s and don’ts to guide you when it comes to your wedding stationery.

Do… Be personal

While a wedding is traditionally quite a formal event, it is also a very personal one. Sharing this big life moment with friends and family is what makes it so special, so adding personal touches will make it feel all the more special for you and your guests alike.

Don’t be inconsistent

Whatever theme you decide to go for, whether it’s traditional or contemporary, classic or quirky (or just downright eccentric), the most important thing is that you are consistent with your theme. Whilst you might like the look of bits and pieces here or there, and you may think that certain themes or ideas are really great, if all of the elements of your wedding don’t tie in, you will lose the overall impact of the theme you are going for. No matter what the theme, the key thing to remember when it comes to your wedding stationery, is that once you have opted for a theme you’ll need to stick to it and really follow through with it in every element of your wedding or the wedding that you are planning.

Don’t feel tied down

If you are the type of person that doesn’t like to feel tied down to a particular theme, there is no reason to be. Ultimately the possibilities available to you are vast when it comes to what you do with the theme you have opted for. While you might like bits and pieces of ideas taken from lots of different places, and while you might consider this to match your personality more effectively than a theme that “sticks to the rules” for example, there really are an endless number of possibilities to opt for within every single theme, so there is no reason to feel boxed in!

Do… Be Creative

With this in mind, it’s time to get creative! Look for inspiration online in wedding blogs, pin your ideas onto Pinterest boards, follow wedding planning accounts on Instagram. Wherever it is that you choose to get inspiration for your wedding stationery design, by keeping an open mind you can ensure that you’ll come up with some fantastic ideas.

Don’t have poor quality

Spending less on your wedding stationery shouldn’t have to mean sacrificing on quality. At Kaizen Print we believe that all wedding stationery should be produced with the utmost care and attention to detail, no matter what your budget. While of course, you can expect a higher quality of print when opting for a more expensive material, this should not mean that the lower budget options should feel cheap. At Kaizen Print we make sure that all of our wedding stationery is produced to a particular standard, and of a standard fit for any wedding.

Do… Be clear and concise

Your wedding stationery provides a dual purpose for your wedding. Wedding stationery is there to both look and feel high quality, but also to serve a practical function. One slip-up, or lack of clarity in the way your wedding invitations are worded (for instance), and you may just end up with the whole street thinking that they are invited along to your big day. By keeping your wedding stationery design and text short and to the point, you’ll tick both boxes when it comes to this dual purpose. Your wedding stationery will look and feel a higher quality with less information crammed into it, and you’ll also ensure that the instructions they are intended to provide are fully understood and acknowledged by your recipients.
