Women in Business NI Magazine

Since our launch back in 2009, brochure printing aBrochure Printing NI - Kaizen Printnd design has been a huge part of our business. With that said we’ve printed thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of brochures for businesses, charities and community groups all across Belfast and the rest of Northern Ireland.

We’ve always positioned our business slightly askew from the rest of the printers in Belfast in that our core offering of great value print, is backed up by an industry leading design studio (Kaizen Brand Evolution). Traditionally most printers have artworking teams and due to the nature of the work they undertake, this is the perfect fit for their business.

At kaizenprint.co.uk we have both. A fully fledged artworking team and a branding studio that can not only transform your brand, but position it alongside and above your competition. This makes our service unique in that we are experienced and knowledgeable enough to give you advice on guidance on what will work and won’t work on your brochure design.

In the essence of Kaizen, we strive to continually improve and with every project we undertake, we review and take learnings, ensuring we can become a better design and print provider.

Recently, we were tasked to look at refreshing the design of the Women in Business magazine for 2018 and beyond. The publication is printed a number of times a year and the current graphics while functional, did not wholly encompass the plans and aspirations for the organisation. Working closely with the Women in Business NI team, we are crafting a narrative and strategy to work from across all communication methods, the primary focus currently being the Women in Business Magazine.

The process of redesigning a publication like this is to understand the target demographic, what drives them to read a magazine of this nature and what will evoke a reaction. Great layout, fantastic typography, top class imagery help us as designers create a great design, but this is nothing without a well crafted content structure. This is something the entire team at Women in Business are brilliant at, which ensures a magazine people want to pick up and read. Useful and actionable content, coupled with industry knowledge and social interactions.

We printed the Women in Business magazine on a beautiful silk paper. Choice of paper is not just a personal preference but a functional one we determine based on content. Where we want to get the best from our imagery, as in this magazine, a silk or gloss paper is always recommended. For other projects that want a more muted finish, uncoated or bond paper is a common choice. You’ll see this more for art festival programmes and the likes. When it comes to brochure printing and paper choices, if you’re unsure about the paper type and weight, always ask us. We’ll give you our understanding of the project and the best type of paper to print the brochure on.
