Kaizen Greetings Cards – Not just for Christmas

I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying about a dog not just being for Christmas? Well here at kaizenprint.co.uk, we say the same thing about Greetings Cards. Why should only send our family, friends and even work colleagues a card at Christmas? What about all other other important times throughout the year, such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, perhaps holidays that through their customs they celebrate? Within this article, we are going to give you some ideas on when else it’s a good idea to send someone a card, especially a bespoke printed one.

Birthdays

This one might seem obvious, but I’ve known a few people that tend not to give birthday cards to people, instead just handing them their present or gift. This might not seem like such a big deal, however I definitely think it is. Perhaps when giving to a young child it isn’t such a big deal, as thought has still went into thinking about what to get them, and sometimes the child might not necessarily be interested in the card. However, the older someone gets, the more important I think this becomes. Everybody knows, that the older we get the smaller and smaller our gifts tend to get, if we get any at all. I know for the last few years at birthdays it has been money or gift cards that have been received. And this is where a card comes in great. To me, if someone giving a card along with whatever else someone has decided to get you makes it that little bit more personal. For example, it’s easy to go into someones favorite shop and get them a gift card, or lift money out and give it to them. But when picking  a card, thought has to go into it. You have to know what they like and what they don’t. But aside from this, it’s the message that’s written inside it. More often that not, a card already says ‘Happy Birthday’ inside it anyway, so it’s up to you to write something else. Even if it is just something simple, you’ve still taken the time to hand write it, and for me, there is something great about receiving a handwritten message.

Cultural Holidays

Chinese New Year, Eid al-Fitr, Diwali, Hanukkah, Thanksgiving are just some events and holidays that occur throughout the year, celebrated by other cultures around the world. It’s also a good idea to assume that you may have people working within you office, or perhaps friends of your own that celebrate these festivals and holidays themselves. So why not show them that you care and take notice by sending them a card wishing them well and happy celebrations on the day? It doesn’t have to be anything more than this either, as just a card is enough. By doing this is shows that to begin with you are paying attention to them. You have gone out of your way to recognise their holidays/celebrations, when you didn’t have to. As well as this, they might not be expecting you to do it. Therefore they will be pleasantly surprised when they do receive the card from you.

Anniversaries

Anniversaries are usually a big deal for the people that they involve, often celebrating their marriage, the years that they have had together as well as the years to come. However, they can also be a big deal for those looking in, for example from other family members and friends. You obviously don’t have to make as a big deal out of it, but just letting the couple know that you are thinking of them on the day is a great sentiment. And a great way to do this? You guessed it, a card. It’s quite similar to those that you receive on birthdays, as more often than not it’s all about the message you put in the card.
