Belfast Pride 2016

6 August 2016 08:11:38 BST

Belfast Pride Printing

Belfast Pride takes place this weekend and all throughout the week we’ve been printing flyers, posters, pvc banners and foamex signage for the organisers of the events taking place all around the city today. Focusing on equality and diversity Belfast Pride is one of the biggest festivals, Ireland’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender festival and ranks in the top ten largest Pride parades in the UK!

We’re proud to be apart of the pride day activities and want to wish all those attending the most fabulous of days. Thankfully the weather seems to be holding out and all our print will be shown in the best of lights. If you happen to see any of our work in situ take a little photo with it and tag us over on twitter or facebook. We’d love to see what you guys and girls are getting up to.

Below is a huge poster printed for Boombox bar and frankly it’s one of the most colourful prints we’ve completed in the longest time and we love it. Unfortunately their outdoor block party on Donegall Street has been given the no go, so their event is being held in their bar / nightclub starting at 2pm today.

If you’re looking to find out more about today’s activities head on over to Belfast Live where you can find the most comprehensive pride guide and everything you could possibly need to know about the event.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Event marketing

25 April 2016 09:18:00 BST

Event marketing is a great way of promoting your business while engaging with customers.

But what is event marketing?

According to business dictionary dot com, event marketing is the activity of designing or developing a themed display or exhibit to promote a product, cause or organisation.

It doesn’t just stop at displays and exhibitions though, event marketing, as the name suggests, allows you to create an event to market your business.

Event marketing is the perfect way to build awareness of your company, promote your products and / or services or even advertise a sale. It also allows you to engage one-to-one with your customers.

As a business owner, and therefore as a marketer, you must take every opportunity to build relationships with customers and clients. No matter where and when these chances occur, and there is no better way to do that than by creating an event.

At Kaizen, we offer a huge range of products that are ideal for all types of event marketing, so you can be sure that your event is a success.

Roller banners are great products for stalls, displays and exhibitions. Their size alone makes them stand out and draws attention. You can fill them with information about your product or organisation, or simply have your logo and design printed on it so customers know who you are.

For larger events a PVC banner may be better. They are bigger and can be hung up anywhere. They are even durable enough to be pitched up outdoors.

Flyers are another key element in event marketing. They have a wide range of uses, from advertising your event to holding information about the products you are promoting. Their size makes them easy to hand out, and customers can easily pop them into a purse or bag. At Kaizen, they are printed in bulk at low cost. Having the option to mass produce flyers on a large scale is great value for money, and saves you pennies in the long run.

Feather flags are brilliant for outdoor use, and are actually one of our most popular products. Their lightweight design lets the fly about in the wind. This movement catches the eyes of passers by – key potential customers. Due to the material they are printed on they are not only lightweight but are also waterproof, making them best suited for all the Northern Ireland Weather has to throw at them. They come with a weight stand, so they won’t get blown away.

The most important part of event marketing is connecting with your customers and clients. The whole purpose of event marketing, though to showcase your business or product, is to attract and build important customer relations.

Customers don’t want to come to your event to be faced with a long pitch. They want to discover more about your company and what you stand for, what your personality is like. The want to get a feel for brand values. We’ll leave that to you to figure out, but we can help draw in the customers with our great marketing products.

Tips for designing a roller banner

designing a roller banner

At the start of November we explained why a roller banner is a great piece of marketing material for your business, see here: http://kaizenprint.co.uk/blog/you-need-a-roller-banner

Roller banners are versatile, easily moved, quickly printed pieces of marketing kit, which can be used time and time again to great effect in your marketing campaigns. That said, how about a few design tips to ensure you get the best-looking banner, helping you stand out that little bit more.

What’s important!

It may seem simple, but keep all your most important eye grabbing details at the top, really think about where your banner is going to be sitting, and what bits of it will be covered or hard to see, as this can really effect how you design your roller banner.

Keep it simple.

A roller banner may be a large advert, but this doesn’t mean it needs to be filled with tons of text and info, often a big bold message and your contact info works a lot better. Try to keep your message simple and concise, you will grab way more attention that way. Ask yourself if people are only glancing at the banner, will they understand who you are and what your about?

Bright and bold.

Photos have their place, if they really sum up what you’re all about. Failing that, bold, complimenting colours, are sure to turn heads. Two complimenting colours will draw the eye in to the graphics. Try to stick with big bold text and simple graphics for the best results. This is where a well branded company can shine, with great a great logo, colours and font.

Sizing.

We always leave a 200mm blank space at the bottom of the banners when designing, this is where the banners folds into the stand, and isn’t seen. When sending through print ready files, high res .PDFs, and any images at 300dpi and set to CMYK.

Don’t forget as mentioned in our graphic design post, we have a team of six full time graphic designers, right here in our Belfast office. They can help you design a banner that is on brand, eye catching and print ready.

If you need any help, get in touch with us on 028 9002 2474 to discuss all the design and marketing opportunities for your business.
