Although you may have an idea of how many guests are attending your big day, here at Kaizen Weddings we would always recommend putting an RSVP card alongside your invites. You can print an email address or phone number on your RSVP for guests to respond to or alternatively request that they post their response back.

RSVP cards are an essential item to go within your wedding stationery set. They are a particularly useful and practical item which allow you to keep track of the number of attendees going to your wedding. Many clients if they have a menu choice for their wedding day also use the RSVP Card to gather people’s preferred menu choices and any dietary requirements. The style of your RSVP Card will usually be in keeping with your main wedding invites and the card stock used either a similar style or the same card stock used throughout your wedding stationery. RSVPs in most cases are smaller than the main invite and the most popular sizes are A6 and A7.
Your RSVP card will form part of your overall stationery set. Your stationery set will also include your main invite and any other additional items such as information cards, order of the day cards and gift cards. To ensure you are getting what you want from your RSVP print, whether we are designing for you or carrying out the print only, we’ll always run a sample for you to approve before we go to print. It’s best printing your rsvp on an uncoated card as it’s most suitable for people writing on. We can print our RSVP’s on a range of cards and have loads of samples and swatches in the studio for you to come and have a look at in person. The average order of RSVPs, ranging between 60 - 150 cards can be printed and ready for collection within 48 hours.
RSVPs although traditional are one of the most important items of your wedding stationery for your big day, as they allow you to keep track of numbers, for both you and your venue. When sending your RSVP cards out, it’s usually worth making sure you have a spreadsheet of everyone who has received an invite and rsvp, as when you receive them back, it’s a matter of marking and editing who is and isn’t attending and will smooth the process for you greatly.
The type and size of card you decide to choose for your wedding stationery, including your RSVP’s will greatly depend on the style and colour theme of your big day. If you are having more of a vintage themed wedding, then you may choose to go for a kraft style card, whereas if your wedding day is a particularly glamorous affair, then you may wish to go for a pearlised card. How do your guests respond to you? When designing your RSVP Cards, if your cards request a postal response, then you should consider a stamp mark in the design for your guests to affix a design to. If you have put an email address for you guests to respond to, many of our clients create a new email address for their wedding so as the responses don’t get lost amongst their everyday mail.
