40|Fifteen University of Ulster, Graphic Design & Illustration Degree Show 5-13 June 2013 Friday night saw the annual UU degree shows light up the Cathedral Quarter with students a flutter displaying their final year projects to industry, friends, family and peers. A showcase of work by 40 graduates from the BDes Hons Graphic Design and illustration course, a final culmination of blood, sweat and tears! Our senior designers popped down for a exclusive sneak peak extended to industry at 1pm to peruse the talent and browse the workbooks research that went into the displays. We later returned with our full team of 6 designers to soak up the buzz of the first night! We were amongst friends, as many of the final year students had sought professional printing as part of there submitted work and had came to Kaizen to create bespoke short run posters, booklets and newsletters, all adding a string to their bow as they embark on their path to find a place in a creative design agency. One designer we were particularly excited to see was Tiarnan Delargy, 2015 ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) Student Award Winner who we had worked with on print. The overall standard of presentation was excellent and we include in that the wine, beer and traybakes! A great night was had by all!
