What information should I put on my business card

At Kaizen Print we undertsand Business cards are vital to every person’s career or business. An elegant, well-put business card can leave an impression to your potential network. Our business cards come in different sizes and finishes. Knowing which one to use will be determined by your requirements and preferences.

What Info Should I Put On My Business Card?

One vital info you should put on your business card is your website. Never EVER forget to put it on because this is the extension of your brand.

Basically, think of your business card as a teaser and your website as your finisher.

Do I Have To Put My Email And My Phone Number On My Business Card?

Absolutely. If you have them, then by all means do so.

Having a public number and a dedicated email address to receive feedback is crucial to your personal brand or business.

Should I Go For Standard, Glossy, Matte or Textured Finish?

When having your business cards printed, you may want to opt for the best choice for your requirement and budget. While standard business card is budget-friendly, it can be prone to wear and tear too. You may start with our Kaizen standard business cards, which come in 350gsm paper beginning at £20.00.

Kaizen luxury business cards have sturdier body with a better finish. Starting from £40.00, it is ideal for more visual business cards. Our cards come as litho printed on 400gsm silk and then trimmed or finished with your choice of gloss or matte lamination.

Matte finish often exudes sophistication and is more preferable for its very professional and polished feel. It’s not shiny and it comes in handy when you have more than enough to spend for standard card distribution. We highly recommend this one.

And if we haven’t mentioned, Kaizen business cards can be done as single or double sided print.

Last on the list are textured cards. Textured business cards are organic and fine to touch. Since it is made to excel from the typical business cards, you will find that textured ones are more expensive than standard business cards.

Our brown kraft paper business cards start from £63.00 and are litho printed on a 457 mic Kraft card. They are perfect for handmade businesses or brands that need a rustic style.

When Should I Hand Out My Business Card?

Typically, you may want to wait it out before handing your business card. Too early can be a bit pushy, so wait until your contact details are asked for or when your talk is getting warmer and you feel like you both need to get in touch with each other in the future.

Where Should I Have My Business Cards Printed?

Looking for a reliable printing supplier can be very challenging. You have to know the quality, the materials, the cost and reliability of each provider. Once you have done this, you may want to contact them if they have a layout ready for you.

Usually it comes in the form of PSD or PDF, but may vary from one source to another.

If they don’t have a business card template, you can find tons of it online or you can have yours created by a professional business card designer.

How Do I Create My Business Card?

Programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign were made to design such output. You can almost have any printed output created with those two software programs.

With our compliments

With our compliments

19 November 2015 10:12:11

As more and more business is carried out online, we lose the personal touch with our clients. To an extent this is a great thing and the efficiencies and savings made for businesses have created the industries we work in today.

Take email for example. 15 years ago many businesses would have shared a single computer to send emails to clients. Actually let’s step back 10 years prior. Posting was the common method of document delivery. 2 days minimum to send and receive business documents…gosh if I don’t get an email back to a customer within the hour, then I feel thats delayed.

Then there was email and emails have revolutionised our messaging and document sending. But they are often used as a way to disconnect with clients but get your job done. We have noticed a huge resurgence in the past few years of business people focusing on the connections with their clients in “old fashioned” ways. Picking up the phone, attending meetings, handing out business cards and of course putting a business card and compliment slip within their mailing to prospective and current customers alike.

Customers appreciate you spending time and effort in your response to them and while it may be a little bit more effort to post a mailing with your information in it, we highly recommend placing a compliment slip with a personalised message in every suitable posting.

A compliment slip doesn't need to be fancy but it does need to be functional. I’ve heard them described as a shortened letterhead and to an extent, thats exactly what they are and they should include all of your contact details in the way letterheads do. The majority of customers choose to keep the design of compliments slips in a similar format to their letterheads to ensure continuity of their branding and message.

Compliment slips should be used with every mailing you send that doesn't have it’s own cover letter. They are informal document rather than providing the formalities of letters and so your own message written on it may also be informal.

“With thanks”
“Business Card samples enclosed for your review”
“Please find a copy of your documents”

All of the above are perfect uses of compliment slips as they are not a formal instruction but rather an informal message. Compliment slips take a variety of forms but the most commonly printed compliment slip size is 1/3 A4 (210mm x 99mm) which sits snugly into a DL Envelope. The second most commonly printed comp slip would be A5 size, which if for personal use can double up as a letterhead.

Chat to us about how compliment slips can increase your conversion rate for sales and how the can better the relationships with your clients.

We are masters of business cards. From last minute rush orders to our luxury litho business cards, we have a solution suited to your needs. Sometimes people aren't really sure what they need in terms of a business card, so I thought it best to put together a little frequently asked questions on our this product.

Need my business cards tomorrow can you help?

We have two main types of business card printing, Digital and Litho. Digital Business card printing can be turned around in less than 48 hours, but usually within the day. We print our digital business cards on a 350gsm card stock in a choice of silk or uncoated finishes. Depending on the design of your card, we will advise on the most appropriate paper for you order. If you require something a little special we can also laminate Business card with the choice of Gloss or Matt lamination.

Litho Business cards on the other hand, usually take 4 to 5 days these are printed batched together with 39 other types of business cards that are printed using same specification. This insures a low-cost high quality business card Service here in Belfast.

Are digital business cards low quality?

Not in the slightest! Many years ago Digital printing technology was seen as a vastly inferior to litho printing and to an extent this was true. The difference between the Digital and Litho business cards was very noticeable, However nowadays Digital printing technology has come on leaps and bounds so much so that digital printing is replacing the majority of litho print. We are extremely happy with the quality of our digital printer so much so, But we will stand over any print from machine.

Do you have a template I can use?

Each of the designs of business cards we create are bespoke to our clients needs and business and so we do not provide design template for use, however if you're proficient with the design software such as in design or illustrator we can provide the template for you to create your own designs. The templates are set up for print use and follow the following formatting. The height and width is 85 x 55mm or Vice versa, we request a three mil bleed and we suggest you keep all text a further 3 mm from the inside. Please ensure that your settings are CMYK and that when saving out as a PDF you include your bleed.

Do you ship or deliver?

Absolutely, many of our clients are not located within the greater Belfast area and so we use a network of couriers to deliver our products across Ireland England Scotland Wales and the rest of Northern Ireland. We charge a flat rate of £10 per Box anywhere in the UK and Ireland.

We pride ourselves on high-quality low-cost business cards and coupled with the fact that we can turn this around less than 24 hours we are market leaders when it comes to business card printing in Belfast. If you have enquiry or want to talk about printing and design project we would love to chat to you.
