Save the Date Cards are the perfect way to announce your wedding date to those you intend to invite, but prior to sending out the main invoice. What’s great about a save the date card, is that it’s always a little less formal than an invite and your entire style of wedding stationery doesn’t have to be finalised.

The main purpose of a save the date card is to afford guests the opportunity to plan ahead with holidays and events of their own. By ear marking the date, by a year in advance, you are giving those you want to intend ample warning that they need to keep this special day free for your event.

Our range of wedding stationery is available for printing on a beautiful array of card stocks including:

Frost White - This bright white uncoated card stock boasts a textured rippling that provides a classic effect. Giving a crisp clean finish and high contrast to colour, it lends itself best to simple high end designs where the quality of the paper speaks for itself.

Ivory - This bespoke cream card stock hails from one of the most renowned paper mills in the world. This high quality soft textured cream card is a firm favourite with brides.

Kraft - It took us many years to source the right type of kraft card, but patience to do things just right is what will set your vintage style wedding stationery apart. This Kraft card is one of our most popular products for brides right now.

Pearlised - This double sided silver pearlescent card provides a unique opportunity to add a touch of sparkle to your wedding stationery. We can also overlay colour to create a shimmer effect to your colour palette. We’ve created some pretty unbelievable designs to compliment this outstanding card stock.

Silk - This card stock is the perfect compliment to full colour photography based wedding stationery. It’s contemporary charm and ability to present full colour designs beautifully is what makes silk card one of the most versatile we print on.

Uncoated - Where pastels, watercolours and traditional designs need a more tactile feel, uncoated card stock is the perfect choice. The uncoated finish softens colour and provides a perfect compliment to matt designs.

More about Save The Date Cards

Save The Dates

Make sure all those you want to attend your wedding can be with you by sending timely save the date cards. Also known as save the dates, these small cards are the perfect way to inform your friends, family and loved ones of your big day.

Save The Date Cards

As a general rule it’s considered appropriate to send your save the date cards around 12 months from the date of the ceremony. This ensure that most people haven’t booked holidays and can put a note on their calendar to keep it free. It also ensures there is ample time to make arrangements if you are clashing with another event or wedding within your friends and family circle.

We understand what works and of course what doesn't work when designing save the date cards and other wedding stationery. Let us guide you through the process and help design the most beautiful wedding stationery for your perfect day.

Save The Date Cards Etiquette

One of the most common questions we get from brides to be is “Do I need to send save the date cards?”. The answer is a resounding yes. Not everyone is waiting patiently by the door for your wedding invite and if you don’t inform them of your chosen wedding date as early as possible, they may have already booked holiday or worse, their own wedding day…Now it may be the case that some of these guests, you don’t mind if they aren't able to go. Think aunt Joan or uncle jim on your mums side. But for everyone else, it’s polite to give as much notice as possible. However a save the date is not just about notice of a date, it should also include the location and if plus ones are invited. Remember the golden rule when sending save the dates: pick carefully who you’re sending a save the date card to, the recipients will genuinely believe they are getting an invite to the wedding. Double check that mailing list.
