Voicemail is a blessing and a curse. Quite frankly it means you are never out of contact for an extended period of time. Like emails, voicemail should be responded to promptly. One of the most effective sales techniques is speed of response. Ensure your voicemail identifies yourself, the company you work for, and an estimated time of reply, so that the client understands when to expect a call back. If you’re on leave or unavailable for an extended period, it is again best practice to direct them to someone who can help them.
