We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Marketing is the most important aspect of any business.

After all, it is how you market your business that will draw in customers. Have you ever tried to run a business without customers? It’s pretty hard!

We at Kaizen are experts in all things print, design and marketing related. So you can trust us when we say we know what we are talking about.

But, just because marketing is the most important part of business, doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. In fact, marketing is probably the best part! Marketing is, more often than not, the most creative aspect of any business. It allows you to be funny, witty, and come up with great designs all with the sole intention of engaging with customers.

We can assure you that it doesn’t matter what type of business you run, you will need to market and advertise to attract customers.

Whether you are selling products to consumers (consumer marketing), selling to businesses, marketing for physical products or are marketing services your business provides -  a good marketing technique can be used across the board.

It is important to know what kind of marketing tools work for you and your company. When it comes to deciding what types of products you need, you must consider the needs of your business.

Every business is going to have different needs. For example, if you run a gym then the type of marketing materials you need will be different to those used by a retailer. A gym who is trying to draw in new members might use feather flags to attract attention, while a retailer might use some contravision (one-way window vinyl) to create an eye-catching window display.

That said, there are some products which are universal. In fact, most of the products we offer at Kaizen are!

A new gym might have a contravision window display, or a self adhesive vinyl panel, to advertise its opening.

It really comes down to knowing your marketing strategy and having a solid plan. What worked for one business, even if it was similar to yours, might not work for you.

There are a number of other factors you have to take into consideration. Knowing where, when and how you are marketing determines the products you will use. You wouldn’t want to haul a large product just to have it beside a stall if it is more suited to being stationary. Having a clear idea of pricing also helps.

Mass produced products, like flyers and posters, are a no brainer. But you still need to be sure of the size and quantity you need.

But for bigger products, you need to be sure that they are right for your needs.
