Today we're moving up in the world. Literally! The Kaizen office is moving from the end of the first floor, to a brand new purpose built office on the second floor. More space for printing, and more space for creating some of the finest designs you have become accustomed to.
We're really looking forward to our new home and will be settling in with a few bevvy's over the next few Fridays, so pop in and say hello.
We're on Ormeau Avenue above the Spring and Airbrake. As always, look out for the yellow Kaizen mobile outside! But if you get lost, call us on 028 90022474
If you're an old cynic like me, Valentines Day is "oh so commercial" and really what is the point? However, I still buy a card or my wife, a bunch of flowers and possibly splash out on a meal for the two of us in one of Belfast's finest eateries.
With this in mind, could you're business tap into the Valentines market or do you want to make sure your business is retained in 2012? I can tell you now, that the majority of businesses will leave it until the twelfth hour, when in reality, that will be too little, too late.
Most decisions on a night out or present will be made week commencing 6th February, so that really leaves us this week, to get prepped and ready for business!
Finally, if my little pep talk hasn't convinced you to take action, then just relax, sit back and listen to a little John Paul Young. Otherwise, get in touch with us on 028 9002 2474

When a staff member goes above and beyond the call of duty consistently over the course of a year, while keeping us entertained in the midst of things, it's only befitting that they are awarded with a company's most prestigious honour.
Unfortunately we couldn't decide who deserved this accolade as all our team are magnificently awesome and so by default, Chris who doesn't actually work for the company was recently awarded Employee of the Year by partner, Martin McAuley.

Swift Coal is one of Northern Ireland’s newest and most innovative coal merchants bringing cheaper coal to homes and businesses throughout the province.
From inception, Kaizen Print and Marketing helped the Swift Coal team through a variety of design and marketing activities including
- Product Design – yes we designed a bag of coal!!!
- Business Card Printing
- Flyer Printing
We also designed and printed a significant quantity of correx panels for use at different venues and events.
We are ecstatic to continue this relationship with Swift Coal during 2012 and beyond and thank them for their support!
At Kaizen we take our responsibility to the community around us, extremely seriously. In 2010, we gifted over £5,000 of print and design time to local Northern Ireland charities.
In addition to this financial assistance, we endeavour to nourish design talent and have taken on work placements from local colleges.
If you look closely in the background, you can see the Kaizen Print & Marketing branding on the octagon corner. This is the second Clan Wars event we have sponsored. Each being better than the last.
Next up is the Ulster Hall on Saturday 28th May

Ever heard the story of the cleaner with the dirty home? Nope, must be a Lisburn thing then. The gist of the story is that the cleaner is too busy cleaning other peoples homes and offices that she forgets to clean her own. After a while the customers dry up and the only home she has to clean is her own.
The moral of this long winded story is that you have to make time to keep your own house in shape or else you could be spending a fair bit of time there.
At Kaizen Print, we try and blog once a week, check all prices monthly and post on our Facebook once a day (something like this post). Not only does this keep things fresh for your customers, but provides fresh content for google to see and hopefully rank you for.
Things you might like to try
1) Blogging once a day
2) Updating your pricelist monthly
3) Adding any news to your site weekly

Leaflet printing is one of the most effective ways of promoting your business. Many companies throughout the province use a variety of activities, with leaflet design, print and mailing at the centre of marketing focus. Throughout the last few months, we have worked on a number of high profile leaflet campaigns for a wide variety of markets; however, none are as prominent in our mind as the projects completed for TW Sports. If you are not aware of these guys and you have children, you definitely want to check out their summer schools for some of the best coaching available on our “wee” island.
We started our first leaflet project for TW Sports Easter Schools and provided an initial consultation, to ascertain the key messages to be portrayed in this project. This was followed by design of the A5 leaflets & posters used to promote the events.
Not only were we on hand to provide sound advice, as well as affordable design and print, but also through our distribution partners, we were able to save TW Sports considerable time and money on the posting of over 5000 leaflets.
Our help and support throughout this first project has led just this month, to the completion of our second major project for Tim and his team.
The TW Sports World Cup Summer Camps, for children between the ages of 2 & 13, start on the 5th July and are being held in 14 locations around throughout province. Please visit TW Sports or visit them on Facebook for more information.
Tim Kindly provided the following testimonial of our work:
Kaizen Print & Marketing provide high quality, sensibly priced marketing materials and business stationery. Working to the tightest deadline & budgets, Kaizen Print are only just a call away.

After 8 months of starting up Kaizen Print, I decided I needed a little RnR. I have honestly worked harder in the past year, than ever before in my life! But that of course has its rewards. And that was a a week long break to Lanzarote.
True to form, I was scouting out business card designs and negotiating flyer printing with local club owners. It has to be done, doesn't it. Well the answer quite frankly is No, it doesn't!
With no laptop and very limited internet access, this left me to the worst possible thing; my thoughts. Weird and wonderful ideas sprung up from many margaritas on the beach and most importantly I came back rested and with a renewed sense of energy. That plus 546 emails to respond to. At time of writing this, I am down to 49, and this is not including the emails the rest of the team looked after.
When I get these emails replied to, the following projects are top priority for the Kaizen Print Team.
Canvas Printing Service
Memorial Cards
Flyer Distribution.
These are all services we have provided from Day 1, however, as a new customer recently pointed out - because our services are so varied and wide ranging, we need to talk about hem more often.
Secretly, I'm glad to be back in the office and I know the rest of the team share my sentiments......
On a daily basis we check our google analytics account to see where people have been referred to our website from. This like asking customers when they call into the store, allows us to measure our marketing efforts and find out what is working and what isn't.
To our absolute surprise and joy (as our marketing is working), we had 43 referrals from a forum/website associated with printing.com.
Lets be honest, pdc are the industry leaders, in terms of marketing and resources. We aspire to be them and for the members/franchisees of pdc to be visiting our site fills us with great joy.
Either we're doing something right, or something terribly wrong....
If you are a franchisee or staff member of pdc and want to get in touch, we'd be more than happy to have a chat.
